Underwriting – the process of assessing applicant data to determine the likelihood of repayment.

VA Mortgage – A mortgage insured by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs that features little to no money down and relatively low interest rates.

Wrap-Around Mortgage – A second mortgage on a property; in this plan the new lender becomes responsible for the old mortgage.
